8 Secrets to Thrive
Essential Elements for Holistic Wellbeing
1. Movement
Why it matters: Walking in the forest invites your body to move naturally—loosening stiff muscles, releasing tension, & boosting your energy with every step. Surrounded by trees & fresh air, movement becomes less about pushing harder & more about feeling lighter, freer, & fully present.
On the walk: Move at your own pace, with pauses for guided stretching and breathwork to release and reset.
5. Mindset
Why it matters: Where you focus your consciousness, energy flows. Your thoughts shape how you feel, how you move through the world, and what you believe is possible. A supportive mindset opens space for ease, growth, and self-trust.
On the walk: Through conscious awareness, notice where your energy is going—and choose to redirect it toward what feels lighter, kinder, and more aligned.
2. Nutrition
Why it matters: The food we choose shapes our energy, clarity, and mood. Next time we walk, please bring a nourishing morning tea for yourself to enjoy after our session — something simple that gently refuels your body, lifts your spirits, and helps you feel steady for the rest of the day. It’s a lovely way to end the walk with intention and care.
6. Connection
Why it matters: When you’ve felt like you don’t belong, connection can feel risky—or out of reach. But true wellbeing grows when we feel seen, valued, and accepted just as we are. You are not alone, and you are worthy of meaningful connection.
On the walk: Share gentle space with kind, like-hearted people. No pressure, just presence. Let's build a small, supportive community.
3. Rest
Why it matters: Active rest is about slowing your pace while staying gently engaged—allowing your body to recover, your mind to settle, & your spirit to recharge. In the stillness of the forest, even as you move, you can find moments of deep renewal & quiet restoration.
On the walk: We’ll pause regularly to slow down, breathe deeply, and settle into the peacefulness of nature—giving your body and mind space to soften, recharge, and reconnect.
7. Environment
Why it matters: When we spend time in nature—walking in the forest, lying on the grass or sitting on a rock—our body naturally tunes into the Schumann Resonance. This gentle Earth frequency of about 7.83 Hz, called the planet’s “heartbeat,” has a calming, grounding effect that helps regulate the nervous system, ease stress, & restore clarity.
On the walk: Let Toohey Forest hold you—breathe in the scent of eucalyptus, tune into birdsong, and feel your pace naturally slow. Keep an eye out for koalas, curious lizards, and native wildflowers along the way—nature has its own way of saying hello.
4. Stress Management
Why it matters: Chronic stress dims your spark by keeping your nervous system stuck in survival mode, draining energy and clarity. Breathwork is a powerful tool to shift your body into a calmer state—activating your rest-and-digest system and soothing your mind.
On the walk: We’ll find a quiet spot to learn a simple breath practice you can use anytime to move from tension into ease, presence, and grounded clarity.
8. Purpose
Why it matters: Many people spend their lives searching for a singular, grand purpose—but perhaps our true purpose is to live with presence, to grow through challenge, and to express our unique gifts in whatever way we can. When we align with what feels meaningful, life flows with more ease, clarity, and fulfillment.
On the walk: Let nature offer space to reflect on what truly matters to you and how you want to show up in this next season of life.
